…can we trust her with Union City's budget? Campaign finance reports are how voters see who funds a candidate and how it's spent. Hers stopped after October 2020.
Reporting rules exist so voters can see where a candidate's money comes from and where it goes. The City's records show no reports on file since 2020, and the state's Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC), California's campaign finance watchdog, administratively terminated her committee on 3/17/2025.

When the filings stopped. The City's filing list for Cheema For Mayor 2020 shows its last campaign statements (Form 460) were filed on 10/26/2020. Nothing further appears until 3/17/2025, when the FPPC administratively terminated the committee.

"Potential" fees are estimates calculated from the City of Union City's public SouthTech filing list, the FPPC Notice of Administrative Termination (FPPC No. 2021-00174), and the statutory $10/day rate. They are "raw" late-fee exposure, not a final fine amount, and not a fine assessed by the FPPC or the City. Under Gov. Code §91013, the final late-filing fee for each statement is capped at the greater of $100 or the cumulative amount stated in that statement. Because the missing statements have not been filed, the cap cannot yet be applied and the final amount cannot be determined.
Fees accrue in whole days; the live counter spreads the daily amount across each second for display.
